No More Rain

Rain came tumbling down
partnered, at times, with hail.
Dark and overcast,
no sun visible.
But it did not last all day.
Sun came out at noon.
Clouds evaporated and left.

Outside shone like
rain had washed it clean.
Spidery chandeliers hung from branches.
Puddles glittered on blades of grass.
Snails vacuumed up crystal beads on path.
Rainbow arched over sky promising
better weather ahead.
